Dr. Karsten Pyka
Before joining Technology Innovation Institute in 2021 Dr Pyka gained industry experience in Germany as system engineer in the space sector at OHB System AG, Munich, as well as technology expert for disruptive innovation in the automotive sector at the internal corporate incubator of Hella GmbH and CoKG, Berlin.
In 2013 Dr Pyka received his Ph.D. in physics at the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt and Leibniz University Hannover, Germany, for his work on the development of High-precision ion traps for spectroscopy of Coulomb crystals, followed by postdoctoral research activities towards the setup of an experiment for many-body quantum simulations with trapped Coulomb crystals in the Quantum Control Lab of The University of Sydney, Australia until 2015. In 2008 he obtained his Diploma certificate in physics at the Institute for Laser physics of the University of Hamburg, Germany, working on ultra cold quantum gases.
