Title: | Working codelessly with Data and AI |
Abstract: | Enabling everybody to make use of data shouldn’t require a computer science degree. Rather than starting with learning how to write code, visual or low-code environments allow to focus on modeling the data flow itself. This massively reduces the barrier to entry and enables everybody to solve real world problems from day #2. It also allows users to gradually enhance their data science skills and use increasingly sophisticated methods within that same environment. In this talk I will illustrate how KNIME workflows allow to quickly get started but also enable learning and accessing increasingly complex data science methods, including GenAI techniques. |
Bio: | Michael Berthold is co-founder of KNIME, the open analytics platform used by thousands of data people around the world. He is currently CEO of KNIME AG and, until recently, a professor at Konstanz University, where his research interests included bisociative data analysis and widening of mining algorithms. Previously he held positions in both academia (Carnegie Mellon, UC Berkeley) and industry (Intel, Tripos). Michael has co-authored two successful data analysis text books and is a frequent speaker at both academic and industrial conferences. If time permits he still creates workflows. |
