We are pleased to share that Dr. Abdelrahman AlMahmoud, Principal Big Data and Analytics Researcher, at our Secure Systems Research Center (SSRC), has been honored as a member of the governing body of the Emirates Robotic and Automation Society (ERAS), a public benefit organization that aims to position the UAE as a global leader in developing applications and solutions for robotics and automation in various industries.
Along with 20 other members from across the government, academia, and private sphere, Dr. AlMahmoud formally founded ERAS following the official approval of both the Ministry of Community Development and the Community Development Authority. In addition to this, his co-founders have also designated him a member of the Board of Directors for ERAS.
This is an exciting development for both SSRC and TII as it helps align our robotics research goals with those of other government and private sector entities while providing credibility to our outreach programs organized both locally and internationally, and helping to initiate further projects with government entities. Such efforts strengthen TII’s status as a core enabler in attracting and recruiting talent.
