Title: | A Bayesian network approach to quantum nonequilibrium physics |
Abstract: | Fluctuation theorems are fundamental extensions of the second law of thermodynamics for small systems. Their general validity arbitrarily far from equilibrium makes them invaluable in nonequilibrium physics. We present a theoretical and experimental study of fully quantum fluctuation relations using a novel dynamic Bayesian network approach. This powerful formalism allows one to capture the effect of quantum coherence and quantum correlations in far from equilibrium processes, in contrast to existing methods. |
