This hardness tester by Buehler a state-of-the-art automated testing machine that allows Vickers and Knoop indentation testing. The indentation load range is between 0.05 and 10kgf. This equipment has ISO and ASTM certified Vickers indenter. For measurements, navigation, and imaging, the system is equipped with 10x and 50x long working distance objectives. A motorized stage 180x180mm stage (travel 110x140mm) is used for the automation process and navigation across the samples. Furthermore, a 5 MP bright field overview camera is attached for sample navigation, scanning etc.

The Particle Analyzer acquired from Malvern Panalytical uses laser diffraction to measure the particle size of free-flowing powder, as well as its distribution. This is an essential kit for characterizing the feedstock material used in L-PBF. The system available at TII is equipped with both wet and dry measuring cells.
This tube furnace operates under controlled atmosphere (inert gas) and has a max operating temperature of 1200°C. The tube (chamber) is 400 mm in length and 125 mm in diameter.
