Over the last several weeks, the UAE has watched with growing concern the situation unfolding in Ukraine. As a nation keenly committed to upholding humanitarian values, the UAE has repeatedly stressed the efforts to address the humanitarian impact of the crisis.
TII is shaping a global innovation hub here in Abu Dhabi. In just over a year, we have convened a diverse community of leading scientists, engineers, mathematicians, and researchers from across the world. We have established a global research center based on foundational values of curiosity, excellence, integrity, and respect.
As we build our role within the global community of scientists and researchers, we are guided by our purpose of researching without fear to pioneer tomorrow’s advanced technologies.
In partnership with Emirati universities, we are launching the TII Scholarship Program to enable eligible students, researchers, and scientists affected by the conflict in Ukraine to pursue undergraduate, postgraduate, and post-doctoral studies with us in the UAE.
The TII Scholarship Program will support students securing admissions to
programs related to:
- High energy physics
- Optics and lasers
- Artificial intelligence and machine learning
- Telecommunications/ communications engineering
- Information security
- Mathematics
- Aerodynamics and propulsion systems
- Quantum physics
- Quantum mechanics
- Robotics, mechatronics, and control theory
The TII Scholarship Program offers to eligible students:
- Full scholarship assistance at the postgraduate, post doctorate, and exceptional undergraduate levels
- Tuition fee support and a monthly stipend
- Medical insurance coverage (for scholars and their families)
- Support for living expenses (for scholars and their families)
- Mentorship and guidance by TII researchers
- Joint research project opportunities between TII and partner universities
- Active engagement with the scientific community through attendance at international research conferences and seminars, as well as at educational events locally and internationally
