Tintu Jose
Tintu Jose is the Director for the Secure Autonomous Simulation and Test Facility at the Secure Systems Research Center at the Technology Innovation Institute (TII), a cutting-edge UAE-based scientific research center. She is responsible for setting up, maintaining and running the secure lab facility that houses augmented, virtual and model space for testing secure autonomous drone and phone platforms. She is also in charge of setting up and running simulation and modelling environments as well as catering to cloud infrastructure and communications.
Prior to joining TII, Jose worked as Senior Manager – Quality Assurance and Head of Application QA at DarkMatter, a cybersecurity leader based in the UAE. She established the department and managed a team of 50 people in the UAE, Canada, Belarus and India. She played a vital role in developing and delivering in-house secure applications for various platforms, including secure phones.
Before relocating to the UAE, she was Technical Lead for the Browser Team at BlackBerry and prior to that she worked as Performance and Test Engineer at IBM Canada.
Jose holds a double degree in BASc Computer Engineering and BASc Software Engineering from the University of Ottawa, Canada. At the age of 16, she earned six Microsoft certifications – MCP, MCP+I, MCSE, MCSE+I, MCDBA, and MCSD – and worked as a Trainer for these programs in Nairobi, Kenya.
