Prof. Vladimir Baryshevsky
Prof Vladimir Baryshevsky is a Member of the Board of Advisors of the Directed Energy Research Center (DERC) at the Technology Innovation Institute (TII), a cutting-edge UAE-based scientific research center. In this capacity, he provides expert guidance on pioneering research in high-energy physics.
Prof Baryshevsky’s research specialises in nuclear optics of polarised media. He is the founder and Honorary Director of the Research Institute for Nuclear Problems (INP) at BSU. He has mentored 23 PhD students and supervised 6 Sc.D. in Physics.
Prof Baryshevsky is an Honoured Scientist of the Republic of Belarus and a winner of the State Prize of the Republic of Belarus. He has also been given the title of Originator and Honorary Director of Institute for Nuclear Problems, Minsk, Belarus. He received the Gold Medal from the European Scientific-Industrial Chamber for exceptional achievements in the field of physics.
Prof Baryshevsky is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Applied Spectroscopy. He has authored two registered discoveries in the field of nuclear physics, three patents, four books and more than 400 scientific research papers published in international scientific journals. He is also the inventor of volume free electron laser idea and scientific leader for development of volume free electron lasers and founder of world-wide recognized scientific direction: High Energy Nuclear Optics.
Prof Baryshevsky holds a PhD and Sc.D. in Physics from BSU.
