Dr. Giampiero Marchegiani
Dr Marchegiani received an MSc in Physics from the University of Camerino (UNICAM) in Italy in 2015. From 2016 to 2020, he was a member of the Superconducting Quantum Electronics Lab (SQEL) at the National Enterprise for nanoScience and nanoTechnology (NEST) laboratory in Italy, researching the field of mesoscopic superconductivity. He earned a PhD in Physics from the University of Pisa in Italy in 2019 with a thesis on thermal transport in hybrid superconducting-ferromagnetic tunnel junctions. After the PhD, he focused on the theoretical investigation of non-linear thermoelectric effects in Josephson junctions. Dr Marchegiani joined the Quantum Physics group at QRC in February 2021 as Postdoctoral Researcher with a focus on the modelling of quantum circuits based on superconducting junctions.
