Dr. Abdulla Alhajri
Dr Alhajri holds a BSc and an MSc in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW) in the US. He received a PhD in Computational Nuclear Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the US in 2020 with a thesis on computational methods for nuclear resonance uncertainty quantification. During his studies, he spent time at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) and Argonne National Laboratory in the US as well as at CERN in Switzerland. Dr Alhajri joined QRC’s Quantum Algorithms group in September 2020 as Senior Researcher with a focus on quantum algorithms and machine learning. He is also Postdoctoral Researcher in Atomic and Laser Physics at the University of Oxford in the UK, where he is exploring various topics in quantum information and quantum chemistry.
